YatraGenie launches taxi services in Telangana
The company currently has 100 cabs across 10 cities in Telangana and plans to introduce 500 more cabs
Online bus ticketing and cab-booking platform, YatraGenie, has launched taxi rental services in Telangana state across 10 cities.
According to YatraGenie CEO Renil Komitla, there has been a rising demand for city cab services not just in bigger cities but also in towns in Telangana.
"We want to tap both these markets simultaneously. We currently have 100 cabs across 10 cities in Telangana and in the coming months we plan to introduce 500 cabs," Renil said in a press release.
The services will be available in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Warangal, Khammam, Medak, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Adilabad. Through this expansion, it will have a presence in 32 cities and towns in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, it said.
As a part of this expansion, YatraGenie will set up a call centre in Hyderabad and Warangal to serve the customers better, according to Komitla. The city taxi service will be launched at Rs 100 for first 6 kilometres and Rs 15 per extra kilometre. Bookings can be made by dialling 2020202 or through YatraGenie's mobile app or by logging onto the YatraGenie website.
Within three months of launch, YatraGenie has undertaken more than 30,000 bookings across cities. It is also the first Taxi aggregator with mobile app and driver app available in regional languages, the release stated. YatraGenie.com, is a travel portal launched by Paxterra Software Solutions Private Limited.
